Lorna Grant
BSW, MSW, RSW, Registered Social Worker

Over the past 40 years, I have worked in mental health settings, government and community-based organizations and child welfare services, as well as in my own private psychotherapy and consulting practice. I have experience at the front-line, supervisory and senior leadership levels and helped to lead a number of organizations through significant challenges, growth and change. I have been a social justice advocate, policy and organizational development consultant, community development worker, front-line social worker, team supervisor, department manager, senior leader and executive director.
During this time, I have also had the privilege of working with many individuals, most of whom were experiencing significant distress in their lives. I have borne witness to incredible acts of courage as people seek to confront their past, stand in the present and redefine what they want in the future.
As a social worker with both a Bachelor and Master Degree in Social Work (BSW, MSW), I am a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers and registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (RSW). This provides my clients with assurance that I am authorized to deliver both social work and psychotherapy services (both provincially regulated health professions) and bound by a code of ethics and standards of practice.
I relocated to Grey County from Toronto nearly 30 years ago and consider myself fortunate to live in this beautiful and diverse community. I have a variety of interests, increasingly anchored by my mindfulness meditation practice which I have been developing over the past 15 years. I continue to experience its immense benefits both personally and professionally.
