Niki Hoffman

Niki Hoffman is a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She works under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist and has a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology.
Niki’s approach with clients includes cognitive behavioural therapy, emotion-focused family therapy, and systems therapy for youth with complex needs. She has experience working with adults, children and adolescents, as well as couples and families, and has offered counselling around a variety of issues including: anxiety and depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress, marital and family relationships, divorce, self-esteem, grief and loss, gender identity, and a variety of other life transitional issues. Niki also has experience counselling and working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In therapy, Niki enjoys providing authentic, compassionate, challenging, and insightful support using evidence-based therapies as she works with her clients through a variety of challenges they face. Niki understands that the past informs the present, yet places a focus on moving forward in the moment and toward the future. All of our life experiences, positive or negative, help to create the person we are and guide us to develop tools that will allow us to thrive. She believes that words have enormous power, and with the right strategies, combined with empathy and personal determination, we can live our lives to our fullest potential.
