Rhonda earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tyndale and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Laurier. She engages with clients utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches in a holistic way that honours the unique life experiences and environments of each client. Rhonda’s warm and open approach promotes an atmosphere where clients can explore further development of strategies for coping skills and personal growth.
Rhonda has extensive experience related to elder care needs, including dementia, family/caregiver support and health care navigation. She also supports individuals with disabilities, those with chronic conditions, and children, young adults and couples experiencing a variety of mental health, emotional, and/or relational concerns. She is available to those encountering palliative, end-of-life and life-limiting issues as well as grief and bereavement resulting from various forms of loss. Rhonda’s skills can also be helpful for folks experiencing anxiety and challenges with work/school and life balance.
As a Social Worker she openly acknowledges the realities and challenges of various social barriers while encouraging clients to embrace their unique strengths and growth potential. Rhonda is a registered member of the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
