Janice Frizzell provides counselling in the Owen Sound, Meaford, and Markdale areas.

Janice Frizzell is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.   Her experience and training are primarily with adults–both individuals and couples–in the areas of Depression and Anxiety, Coping with Stress and Life Transitions, Trauma, Relationship Issues, and Grief and Loss. Her experience working in both mental health and health care settings has afforded her the opportunity to engage with a diversity of people, including First Responders.

Janice draws from the perspective that people are physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual beings.  The people she supports are considered within the circle of their relationships and within the varied contexts of their lives, and she takes into consideration both the intrapersonal and interpersonal dimensions of their lives.  Janice is comfortable with issues of faith and meaning in life.

Janice has lived in both urban and rural communities and is actively involved in her church and community.  Janice has a diversity of life experiences that enables her to connect with a wide range of people.  Janice enjoys people and values authenticity in relationships; her down-to-earth approach to counselling makes people feel at ease.
