
Alice Tyler
Alice holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a psychotherapist with Social Work Solutions Canada. She has worked for many years in community mental health and private practice settings in Canada and the US, with adolescent, adult and older adult individuals and couples dealing with issues such as adjustment to change and overwhelming life events, family and relationship concerns, workplace stressors and numerous mental health challenges. She has a special interest in working with first responders and military personnel and their families concerning their specific occupational stressors and post-traumatic stress. Engaging clients with her passion and commitment in their unique healing process, Alice provides counselling to her clients from a strengths-based, mind-body and collaborative problem-solving perspective. She is trained in and utilizes a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution- Focused Therapy and Somatic Experiencing Trauma treatment. Alice is trained and experienced in treating psychological issues related to depression, anxiety, acute and post-traumatic stress, loss and bereavement, emotional abuse and chronic illness/chronic pain. Her experience in facilitating evidence-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Chronic Pain Management groups has strengthened her belief in the value of social support in clients’ growth and healing.


Monday 1:30-8:30 pm Tuesday 10:00 am- 2:00 pm Wednesday 1:00 -6:00 pm Friday 1:30- 5:30 pm can also flex hours as needed
