Adele Rezai
B.A, B.Ed., M.Ed., Registered Psychotherapist
To begin seeing Adele, you would first have a brief session with the supervising psychological associate, Marcia Swaby
Adele Rezai is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and has experience with Children, Youth, and Individuals; Grief, Panic, Anxiety, ADD, ADHD, Marital and Family Therapy; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; and Education, Career Counselling and Assessments. She uses an eclectic approach under the growth and client-centred umbrella.
Adele received her Master’s degree from the University of Toronto in 1995. In addition, she is a registered teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers and has been providing educational and counselling services to students, families, and individuals of diverse backgrounds at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).
If there is one thing that she can be defined with, it is Adele’s passion for life, learning and teaching. Arriving in Canada 28 years ago as a young immigrant mother, she went through and welcomed a number of significant changes in her life to further develop academically and professionally in graduate and postgraduate studies. In addition, she completed additional qualification courses, such as Guidance, Special Education Specialist, and a post-graduate diploma in Human Resource Management. She not only understands the immigrant experience, major and significant life losses and events; but she has lived it. This background is significant in her ability to relate to others – while the unexpected struggles and challenges of life are many, the belief, and determination of the human spirit overcome all odds.
