Catherine Coyle (She/Her)
This therapist provides mental health counselling under their own license, as well as practices under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate. If you are seeking supervised psychological services, an initial appointment must first be made with the supervisor to confirm appropriateness of fit.
Catherine Coyle is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and is a member of both the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). She has also completed Levels 1 and 2 training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). With over 25 years of experience in counselling and psychotherapy, Catherine brings extensive knowledge and a compassionate approach to her work with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Her areas of expertise include life transitions, relationship difficulties, trauma recovery, stress management, women’s health, self-esteem, trust and communication issues, assertiveness, and eating disorders. Drawing from attachment therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapies, and family systems theory, Catherine takes a holistic and integrative approach to help clients gain insight, heal, and create meaningful change.
Catherine strives to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can learn from the past, plan for the future, and live more fully in the present. She has a particular interest in mentoring and coaching new professionals—such as social workers, lawyers, physicians, occupational therapists, teachers, and new parents—who are navigating the challenges of balancing personal well-being with the demands of a busy and evolving professional life.
