To begin seeing Cindy, you would first have a brief session with the supervising Psychologist, Dan Dalton.
Cindy practices counselling and therapy in Hamilton and St. Catharines under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associates who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Cindy McClure graduated from the Mack School of Nursing, earned a B.A. from the University of Guelph, and has a Masters Degree in Behavioural Studies from the University of Chicago. In 1980 Cindy completed her American Nursing Boards and is licensed to practice throughout the United States and Ontario.
From 1974 to 1982 Cindy gained extensive nursing supervisory experience in Canada and the United States. She worked primarily in the field of psychiatric therapy. During this time she was involved in developing programmed clinical intervention techniques for both in-patient and out-patient units, providing individual and family therapy, diagnostic testing.
From 1983 to the present, Cindy works as a clinical therapist providing services to families, individuals, and couples. In 1988 Cynthia became a program manager for the regional children & adolescent mental health centre. During this time she was responsible for the development and implementation of clinical interventions and protocols using best-practice, evidence-based treatment modalities.
In 2001 Cindy became a surveyor for the Accreditation Program of the Ontario Association of Children’s Mental Health Centres and in 2004 she became the Executive Director of a family-based Children’s Mental Health Centre.
From 1990 to the present, Cindy has provided consultation services to long-term care psycho-geriatric centres in the areas of behaviour management, team building and conflict resolution.
