Kent Shelley
This therapist provides mental health counselling under their own license, as well as practices under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate. If you are seeking supervised psychological services, an initial appointment must first be made with the supervisor to confirm appropriateness of fit.
Kent brings over 70 years of life experience to his work, shaped by five decades of marriage, the parenting of eight children—including two with special needs—and a remarkable series of career transitions. His journey has been woven with moments of great joy as well as profound grief and loss, giving him a deep appreciation for the full spectrum of the human experience.
Throughout his life, Kent has worn many hats: shoe salesman, corporate trainer, elementary and high school teacher, administrator, pastor, long-haul truck driver, small business owner, and cancer survivor. These diverse roles have offered him rich insight into the challenges of both healthy and struggling relationships, the unpredictability of life, and the resilience required to navigate hardship and change.
Kent seeks to assist his clients by helping them find clarity, hope, perspective, courage, and confidence. His approach focuses on providing practical skills and supportive guidance to help individuals move forward—whether they are creating something new in their lives or rebuilding what has been lost. His commitment is to walk alongside clients as they work toward the life and relationships they desire.
