Kent Shelley profile photo

To begin seeing Kent, you would first have a brief session with the supervising Psychologist, Dan Dalton.

Kent Shelley practices counselling and therapy as a Registered Psychotherapist in Port Elgin, Hanover and Goderich under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Kent is a husband and father. His vocational spectrum includes serving as a Youth Worker, Teacher, Minister, Long Haul Truck Driver, Hospital Chaplain, and Counsellor. Kent’s own journey has afforded him plenty of opportunities to experience most of the joys, stresses, and emotional and practical challenges of personal relationships, parenting children, teens and adult children, job losses, vocational transitions, debilitating/chronic pain/illness, and the loss of loved ones. He understands the necessity of support, perspective and hope. Kent’s certification in the practical approach of Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, and Life Coaching, in addition to certification with the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists enhance his 35 years of counselling experience so he is able to provide hope and insight for his clients.

Kent offers distance counselling as an option for clients, through either video counselling or telephone counselling.
