Laura Williamson (She/Her)
Hello, my name is Laura Williamson, and I am a lifelong resident of Lambton County. I am a Registered Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals, families, couples, and teens through life’s many challenges. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University.
My professional experience includes helping clients navigate relationship challenges, stress, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and establishing healthy boundaries. I am passionate about fostering stronger relationships, building emotional resilience, and helping clients find balance and fulfillment in their personal and professional lives.
I bring both personal and professional experience working with First Responders and their families. Having been the partner of a First Responder for 13 years and continuing to co-parent together, I understand the unique pressures, complexities, and sacrifices that come with a First Responder lifestyle. I have also been part of the Encompas Mental Health Wellness Team since the program’s inception, supporting First Responders in maintaining their mental health and overall well-being.
Clients and colleagues describe me as down-to-earth, warm, approachable, and someone with a good sense of humor. I take a client-centered approach, integrating a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet each individual’s unique needs.
Our Care Management Team will respond as soon as possible to get you started.
