Lisa Wilvert practices counselling and therapy in the Newmarket (East Gwillimbury) area under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Lisa is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.

Offering a mindfulness and relational counselling approach, Lisa has worked with first responders and first responder family members particularly on stress and stress-related issues.

Integrating mindfulness-based and cognitive behavioural therapy and other evidence and practice-based tools and techniques, Lisa helps you to explore and find the solutions that will work best for you.

Lisa’s gentle and compassionate presence supports you as you work through challenges like Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, Life Transitions, Trauma and Grief and Loss.

Lisa holds a Masters of Pastoral Studies degree with a focus on mindfulness approaches to mental health and a graduate certificate in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto.  Lisa’s training also includes a diploma in Spiritual Psychotherapy from Transformational Arts College and a Specialist certificate in Applied Mindfulness Meditation.
