Marc Bérubé profile photo

Life can be challenging and is often stressful. Multiple stress factors can affect our quality of life and create psychological disorders. You may experience those challenges in a number of different ways: exhaustion, difficulties adjusting, confusion about direction and motivation, engaging in addictive behaviours, struggles at work, in relationships etc. As a result, you may feel anxious, depressed, angry or overwhelmed at times, and need a better viewpoint to deal with those feelings and problems. I can help…

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Clinical Psychology Degree (M.Psy.) from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. I am a registered Psychological Associate (Supervised Practice) with the College of Psychologists in Ontario (CPO). I am also member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). I provide psychological services to adults in both French and English. With over 25 years of progressive experience in organizational settings, my clinical and research interests examine how excessive work stress can lead to physical and psychological illnesses, burnout, stress and anxiety disorders, depression and addiction. In addition to my private practice work, I am also a senior organizational psychology consultant and coach.

Supportive and engaging, I promote overall health, well-being, and quality of life. I recognize the whole person which includes the emotional and interpersonal components as essential to create the best treatment program for your needs and help you respond to the pressure and demands of today’s environment. I employ an integrative approach to psychotherapy, utilizing techniques from Brief Psychodynamic Therapy (BPT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I am striving to provide my clients a safe, confidential, and comfortable space in which to experience focused attention and compassion, to facilitate movement beyond life’s challenges and towards constructive resolutions, a sense of balance, satisfaction and growth.
