Marsha L. Hibbert is a therapist in York Region who works with children, youth, adults, and families. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) from Ryerson Polytechnic University and a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Toronto, specializing in Clinical Social Work with children and their families. Marsha is a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Service Workers. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers and serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Psychoanalytic Child Therapists.

With over 15 years of experience in social work and therapeutic practice, Marsha has worked extensively in the Child Welfare sector, including her role as a Clinical Investigator for the Office of the Child’s Lawyer. She specializes in child psychoanalytic psychotherapy and parenting support.

Marsha recognizes the impact of anti-Black racism and the systemic barriers faced by people of the global majority. She brings an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens to her practice, welcoming diversity and encouraging individuals to speak openly about racial trauma, culture, and racial identity. Marsha is known for her compassion, non-judgment, and empathy, creating a welcoming environment for all who seek her support.

Through integrated modalities—including mindfulness, somatic approaches, trauma-informed practices, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy—Marsha provides a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions honestly and without shame. She believes that when clients develop trust in the therapeutic relationship, they gain the opportunity to deepen self-understanding and strengthen their relationships with others. As a result, many clients experience increased self-security, improved confidence, and a greater sense of purpose and balance in their lives.

Marsha looks forward to travelling with you on your journey.
