B.A. (H), CAC II, TITC-CT, M.S.W., RSW, Registered Social Worker
Welcome! If you have reached this website, it is likely you are looking for counselling for yourself or your loved ones. Congratulations on taking the first step! Finding the right therapist is an important first step in the counselling process. You are in the right place if you struggle with any general mental health issues, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, anger management, self-esteem issues, grief, addictions, PTSD (abuse, violence, suicide), personality disorders, relationship issues as well as behavioural issues.
I am a registered social worker, a psychotherapist, a certified traumatologist and a certified addictions counsellor and am currently working on my certification as a Mood Specialist as well. Personally and professionally, I try to embody self-care and healing through my daily practice of self-care strategies and techniques. For more information about my education, training, and work experience please feel free to ask.
For my clients, I will always offer a safe, supportive and judgement free environment so that you can begin to heal. I thoroughly enjoy the work I do and find passion in helping others. I believe everyone faces a time in their lives where they require the support of another. We will start where you are ready and work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Depending upon the reasons that brought you to therapy we will tailor our work to meet your needs, whether that is cognitive behaviourally focused, solution focused or something in between. I enjoy working with all age groups. I have experience working with children, youth and adults both individually and in family settings. I have had the fortune of working alongside a variety of multi-disciplinary professionals and my aim is to continue to invest in my community supports.
Sometimes, in life, we are faced with issues that require outside assistance to conquer. Counselling is one way of getting some extra assistance to move ahead.
“It’s up to you today to start making healthy choices. Not choices that are just healthy for your body, but healthy for your mind.”
– Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
