Nancy Galway (RSW, MSW) is a professional counsellor and social worker who brings both extensive clinical experience and her own lived experiences with trauma and anxiety. She began her career in the 1980s and has worked across a wide range of settings, including corrections, elder abuse services, family services, counselling clinics, and mobile crisis teams.

Nancy has worked throughout Canada, including in northern regions such as the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Labrador, in both first response and clinical care roles. Her professional affiliations include membership with the NLCSW, OCSWSSW, CASW, EMDRIA, and NSCSW. Over the years, she has volunteered on numerous boards and professional associations connected to her field and has been recognized for her contributions to elder abuse prevention and intervention.

Outside of her professional work, Nancy enjoys embracing her “best cat-lady life” and practicing yoga for strength and relaxation.
